By integrating the powerful Intersoft’s FlyPostBack mechanism, WebCallOut is becoming more flexible and support for advanced scenario usage. Now, you can set the text not only from client-side, but also server-side by taking advantage of FlyPostBack architecture.

WebCallOut provides 3 display settings that can be set based on your need. You can show or hide the title icon of WebCallOut. Beside the title icon, you can also show or hide the top title icon and the close icon.

The ComplexImages allows you to "skin" your WebCallOut to suit your need specify the images needed by WebCallOut to render the component. In order to create your own design for WebCallOut, 15 images are needed. Some of the design probably requires you the pointing position images to be placed higher or lower in the WebCallOut’s form.

WebCallOut provides you 3 types of close behaviors to suit your style. Sets it to Latency and WebCallOut will disappear automatically after certain amount of time you've set in the Latency. You can also set WebCallOut to disappear if the mouse cursor is outside of the target control or WebCallOut area. The last close behaviour is ClickOutsideCallOut. WebCallOut will automatically disappear if user clicks outside WebCallOut area.

WebCallOut also provides two options on how WebCallOut will be shown. By default, WebCallOut will appear and disappear in elegant fading animation. You can also disable the default fading animation.

Beside the highly customizable element, WebCallOut also allows you to set the position of the pointer. You can set it vertically and horizontally, top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right. Beside the default pointing direction, WebCallOut is also equipped with automatic pointer detection based on the position of WebCallOut.

Preferred position means in which position you want the WebCallOut to be shown related to the control specified in TargetControlId. There are 2 properties that refer to preferred position, PreferredVerticalPosition and PreferredHorizontalPosition. The default value for PreferredVerticalPosition is Top and PreferredHorizontalPosition is Left. For instance, if the PreferredVerticalPosition is Bottom and PreferredHorizontalPositon is Right then WebCallOut will be shown at the BottomRight of the control specified in TargetControlId. These properties will be applied if PointingPosition is set to AutoDetect.

WebCallOut can automatically move following the mouse pointer position of the control specified in TargetControlId. For instance, the control specified in TargetControlId is an image then when your mouse is inside the image, WebCallOut will show and follow the mouse cursor position. To enable this feature simply set EnableInteractiveMoving property to True.

WebCallOut provides 2 kinds of content mode. You can, of course, use text as the content and also you can use custom made template as the content.

When the mouse cursor is over the specified control, WebCallOut will not show immediately, it will show after you hover to the control and wait for several milliseconds (default is 500ms). You can also set the the latency to suit your need.

The pointing position can be adjusted automatically base on the control position specified in TargetControlId’s, PreferrableVerticalPosition, and PreferrableHorizontalPosition properties. This allow you to create a visually appealing tooltip in your Web application.
