With the declarative databinding concept, Presenter enables you to bind to your
ADO.NET data services instantly, without writing a single line of C# codes. When
properly configured, Presenter will be able to perform sorting, grouping, filtering
as well as CRUD operations effortlessly.
With the declarative databinding concept, Presenter enables you to bind to WCF service
easily through WcfDataSource. With very minimal effort, you can connect to your
server-side WCF services easily and enable Presenter to perform various data operations
and CRUD operations in the same way as in AstoriaDataSource component.
As the name implies, XmlDataSource enables hassle-free connectivity to XML files.
However, due to the nature of XML which is used to store static and relatively small
data, Presenter doesn’t support data operations other than data display.
Mix mode concept is introduced based on the multiple views concept. With up-to 5
views, it’s possible to display different data in each view by simply bind each
child to different data. This feature is perfect for certain scenarios which enable
end user to compare the data between views.
By default, Presenter automatically generates columns based on the given entity
(datasource item). With automatic mode, basic metadata such as data type and caption
text will be automatically assigned. The manual mode gives you total control to
create your own column definitions.
In addition to its powerful data binding capability, Presenter is also designed
to work in unbound mode and provides the flexibility to bind to any type of objects
instead of data source controls, such as collection, arrays, generic lists and more.
Its comprehensive client-side object model enables direct access over presenter’s
collection for manual item binding.
