Apply Latest Product Hotfix/Updates

In order to deliver the most stable and superior quality products, we ship minor updates and hotfixes on monthly basis. You can obtain the updates through various ways as discussed below.

Automatic Update through Intersoft Update Manager

Update Manager application is included in every Intersoft product purchase. With Update Manager, checking for new updates and installing them are as easy as a few clicks away – greatly saving your time from common updating-related hassles.

To update your products using Update Manager, simply launch Update Manager application from Intersoft program group and click Scan for Updates. Then, select the products to be updated, and finally click on Install button.

When you choose to perform update, Update Manager automatically downloads the update package from Intersoft web server. Upon download completion, Update Manager will update your products intelligently, such as copying scripts and assemblies to required locations, as well as updating the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) – makes product updates more efficient, faster and easier than ever.

Manual Update

However, there are some instances when you will need to manually apply a hotfix. For examples, you do not have Internet access or it’s a critical hotfix that require special update mechanism. Instructions for manually applying hofixes are below.

ASP.NET Products

Apply WebScheduler hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebSchedulerNET2_0_1000_205.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebScheduler.NET 2.0\Bin.
3. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebScheduler\V2_0_1000 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply WebGrid hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebGridNET7_0_7200_205.zip.
2. Delete ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.Editor.dll from GAC.
3. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebGrid.NET 7.0\Bin.
4. Drag ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.Editor.dll from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebGrid.NET 7.0\Bin to GAC.
5. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebGrid\V7_0_7200 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply WebCombo hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebComboNET4_0_7200_205.zip.
2. Delete ISNet.WebUI.WebCombo.Editor.dll from GAC.
3. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebCombo.NET 4.0\Bin.
4. Drag ISNet.WebUI.WebCombo.Editor.dll from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebCombo.NET 4.0\Bin to GAC.
5. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebCombo\V4_0_7200 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply WebInput hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebInputNET3_0_7200_205.zip.
2. Delete ISNet.WebUI.WebControls.WebInputDesigner.dll and ISNet.WebUI.WebControls.WebInputWizard.dll from GAC.
3. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebInput.NET 3.0\Bin.
4. Drag ISNet.WebUI.WebControls.WebInputDesigner.dll and ISNet.WebUI.WebControls.WebInputWizard.dll from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebInput.NET 3.0\Bin to GAC.
5. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebInput\V3_0_7200 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply WebDesktop hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebDesktopNET2_5_2007_205.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebDesktop.NET 2.5\Bin.
3. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebDesktop\V2_5_2007 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply WebTextEditor hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebTextEditorNET1_0_1500_123.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebTextEditor.NET 1.0\Bin.
3. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebTextEditor\V1_0_1500 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply ISDataSource hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: ISDataSource1_0_1500_200.zip.
2. Delete ISNet.WebUI.ISDataSource.dll and ISNet.WebUI.Design.ISDataSourceDesigner.dll from GAC.
3. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\ISDataSource.NET 1.0\Bin.
4. Drag ISNet.WebUI.ISDataSource.dll and ISNet.WebUI.Design.ISDataSourceDesigner.dll from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\ISDataSource.NET 1.0\Bin to GAC.

Apply WebUI Framework hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebUINET3_0_5000_601.zip.
2. Delete ISNet.dll, ISNet.WebUI.dll, and ISNet.WebUI.Design.dll from GAC.
3. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebUI.NET Framework 3.0\Bin.
4. Drag ISNet.dll, ISNet.WebUI.dll, and ISNet.WebUI.Design.dll from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebUI.NET Framework 3.0\Bin to GAC.
5. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\Shared folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Silverlight products

Apply Presenter hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: Presenter1_0_5000.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for Silverlight\Presenter 1.0\Bin.

Apply DataSource hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: Presenter1_0_5000.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for Silverlight\Presenter 1.0\Bin.

Apply WebAqua hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: WebAquaNET2_0_1000_206.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for Silverlight\WebAqua.NET 2.0\Bin.
3. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for Silverlight\CommonLibrary\WebAqua\V2_0_1000 folder. Note that the scripts are needed if SmartWebResources is disabled.

Apply Framework hotfix

1. Extract the hotfix file, for example: Presenter1_0_5000.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for Silverlight\Presenter 1.0\Bin.
